Football Game Preview: Maynard vs. Littleton

After two weeks on the road, Maynard is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Littleton at 7:00 PM. Maynard have bulldozed their previous six opponents, so Littleton might have their hands full.

Maynard put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season last Friday. Everything went their way against Murdock as they made off with a 56-25 victory. Senior Tommy Smith, who picked up 102 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs, was a major factor in Maynard's success. If you haven't heard Smith's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past six games.

Meanwhile, Littleton were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge, breezing past Clinton 48-7. 48 seems to be a good number for Littleton as the team scooped up a win with the same point total in their matchup last week.

Their wins bumped Littleton to 6-2 and Maynard to 6-0. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Littleton and Maynard will really light up the scoreboard.
