Football Recap: Burncoat Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Assabet Valley RVT last Friday, Burncoat came back down to earth. The Patriots were dealt a 50-16 defeat at the hands of the Nipmuc Regional Warriors on Saturday. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.

When it comes to explaining why Burncoat lost, don't look at Marcus Dascelin. Despite the final result, he rushed for 111 yards, and also threw for 29 yards and a pair of TDs.

Josh Giancola was his usual excellent self, rushing for 121 yards and four scores on only nine carries, while also throwing for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes for Nipmuc Regional. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Giancola a new career-high. Johnny Desmond also helped with two TDs in total.

Burncoat's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Nipmuc Regional, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
