Horizon Science Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Glory Owoyemi, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Owoyemi has scored at least 25% of Horizon Science Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Halima Elmi, who scored 18 points.
Columbus Torah Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Horizon Science Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.
