Baseball Game Preview: Aragon Dons vs. Half Moon Bay Cougars

For the second straight game, Aragon will face off against Half Moon Bay. The Dons will head out to take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Aragon was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Half Moon Bay 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Dons in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Aragon's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josh Jacobs, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI Jacobs has posted since back in May of 2024. Another was Jordan Kiaaina, who went 1-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Aragon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Half Moon Bay has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Aragon, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.
