Brookwood wins going away against Cairo

The Brookwood Warriors entered their tilt with the Cairo Syrupmakers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Brookwood enjoyed a cozy 45-31 victory over Cairo on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Brookwood, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Brookwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddie Duncan out in front who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Duncan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ainsley Jacobson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds.

Brookwood's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Cairo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookwood will square off against Chiles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chiles and Brookwood are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Cairo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dougherty at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
