Softball Recap: Harbor Teacher Wins Going Away Against King/Drew

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Franklin, Harbor Teacher was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 20-9 margin over the King/Drew Golden Eagles. The Monarchs haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Lexi Cetina and Jocelyn Castaneda did most of the damage at the plate: Cetina went 3-for-6 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs, while Castaneda went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those seven RBI gave Cetina a new career-high. Melanie Ruiz was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Harbor Teacher now has a winning record of 3-2. As for King/Drew, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Harbor Teacher has already played their next game, a 15-2 win against Locke on the 3rd. As for King/Drew, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 defeat against Arleta on the 29th.
