Video: Top 10 Games of the Week
Four Texas semifinals are featured in this week's action including both in the 6A Division 1 bracket.

Our last edition of Top 10 Games of the Week features five states led by the CIF Open Division championship between No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) and No. 8 De La Salle (Concord).

These two California powers last met was in the 2016 championship and the Braves rolled to a 56-33 win. This is the third meeting between the two and Bosco is 2-0 against the Spartans.

Five other state championships are on tap led by a Top 25 showdown in the Georgia 7A title game between No. 9 Lowndes (Valdosta) and No. 18 Marietta. The Vikings are going for their first state title since 2007 while the Blue Devils last one came in 1967.

Four Texas semifinal games are featured led by both 6A Division 1 contests.

No. 3 Duncanville vs. Rockwall and No. 6 North Shore (Houston) against Lake Travis (Austin).

Saturday, 8 p.m. (All times local) at Cerritos College (Norwalk) - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

St. John Bosco: QB DJ Uiagalelei (6-4, 245), LB Kourt Williams II (6-1, 215), WR Kris Hutson (5-10, 175), OL Drake Metcalf (6-2, 275), DL Kobe Pepe (6-1, 295)

De La Salle: RB/S Shamar Garrett (5-7, 175), QB Dorian Hale (6-0, 175), WR Grant Daley (6-0, 180), RB James Coby (5-9, 160), ATH Lu Magia Hearns (5-10, 160)

A win for St. John Bosco all but ensures them a spot at No. 1 to end the season and if De La Salle wins that opens the door for a few other teams. 2020 Clemson commit Uiagalelei put on one of the best performances of the year when he helped lead the Braves to a 39-34 win over previous No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship. The 5-star quarterback threw for 444 yards and five scores. The Spartans have won 12 straight since a season opening loss to No. 5 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.).

Saturday, 8 p.m. at Georgia State Stadium (Atlanta) - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

Lowndes: QB Jacurri Brown (6-4, 205), RB Justin Lee (5-8, 170), DB Josh Brown (5-11, 165), LB Tiberius Drocea (5-10, 185), ATH Gary Osby (5-11, 220)

Marietta: WR Arik Gilbert (6-5, 255), QB Harrison Bailey (6-4, 225), DL BJ Ojulari (6-3, 225), WR Ricky White (6-1, 165), DB Rashad Torrence II (6-0, 195)

Lowndes has been one of the most dominant teams in the country this year and a win over Marietta would go a long way for them. The Vikings are 14-0 and have won all but one game by double digits. Brown has emerged as one of the front runners to be named the MaxPreps Sophomore Football Player of the Year with the way he is playing under center. The Blue Devils are getting hot at the right time and 2020 Tennessee commit Bailey just threw for 423 yards and five touchdowns in their 42-31 semifinal win over Parkview (Lilburn).

Saturday, 2:30 p.m. at McKinney ISD Stadium (McKinney) - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

Duncanville: QB Ja'Quinden Jackson (6-2, 220), S Chris Thompson Jr. (6-2, 200), RB Trysten Smith (5-9, 205), OL Savion Byrd (6-5, 265), WR Roderick Daniels (5-9, 160)

Rockwall: WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (6-1, 190), QB Braedyn Locke (6-0, 180), WR JJ Williams (5-11, 190), LB Joseph Schaefer (6-1, 215), DB Corey Kelley (5-10, 180)

If you like high-scoring affairs, this is the game for you. The Panthers are averaging 45.8 points per game and just scored 49 on No. 20 Carroll (Texas) in the quarterfinals. 2020 Texas commit Jackson has proven he can do it at a high level with both his arm and legs. Duncanville's defense is a little banged up and might be without 2020 Auburn commit Thompson Jr. again which could be a huge factor going up against Smith-Njigba. The 2020 Ohio State commit has 101 receptions for 2,110 yards and 35 touchdowns. He is 59 yards away from breaking the state's all-time record in career receiving yards but Lone Star's Marvin Mims is in the mix too, he is 67 yards away. They also play Saturday.

Saturday, 4 p.m. at Reeves Stadium (Austin) - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

North Shore: RB Zachary Evans (5-11, 200), QB Dematrius Davis Jr. (5-11, 190), OL Damieon George (6-6, 350), LB Corey Flagg jr. (5-10, 225), DB Upton Stout (5-9, 165)

Lake Travis: QB Hudson Card (6-2, 180), RB Weston Stephens (5-10, 175), WR Kyle Eaves (5-11, 160), LB Maui Trevino (5-11, 205), WR Grayson Sandlin (6-4, 200)

The defending 6A Division 1 state champs are peaking at the right time. They just scored 76 points against Atascocita (Humble) in the quarterfinals while Davis and Evans combined for 800 total yards and 10 touchdowns. North Shore has won 13 in a row and averages 61 points per game in the playoffs. The Cavaliers just got their best player back last week and Card lit up the Judson (Converse) defense. The future Longhorn threw for 342 yards and accounted for four touchdowns.

Saturday, 7 p.m. at Daytona Stadium (Daytona)

Top Players

St. Thomas Aquinas: LB Derek Wingo (6-2, 210), WR Marcus Rosemy (6-2, 195), OL Marcus Dumervil (6-5, 305), OL Marlon Martinez (6-4.5, 290), DL Tyreak Sapp (6-2.5, 255)

Edgewater: WR Tommi Hill (6-2, 185), RB Isaiah Connelly (5-9, 185), DB Davon Martin (6-1, 185), QB Canaan Mobley (6-0, 185), WR Christian Leary (5-9, 170)

St. Thomas Aquinas is still in play for the No. 1 spot at the end of the season if they can get some help but first have to get by a very tough Edgewater squad on Saturday night. A win would give the Raiders their eighth state title over the last 13 years but first since 2016. It looks like Aquinas will play in the GEICO Bowl Series too if they win and face Hawaii power St. Louis (Honolulu), the No. 7 team in the Top 25. The Eagles are hoping they can ruin the party and are playing in their first football state championship.

Saturday, 2 p.m. at Allen - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

Lone Star: WR Marvin Mims (6-0, 175), QB Garret Rangel (6-2, 170), LB/S Toren Pittman (6-3, 190), RB Jake Bogdon (5-10, 180), LB Jaylan Ford (6-2.5, 205)

Ryan: ATH Drew Sanders (6-5, 235), DL/TE Ja'Tavion Sanders (6-3.5, 220), ATH Billy Bowman (5-10, 175), RB Emani Bailey (5-9, 200), QB Seth Henigan (6-2, 195)

Both teams are 14-0 heading into Saturday's semifinal. Ryan is glad the Highland Park (Dallas) hurdle is gone but things aren't any easier because Lone Star has been playing big-time football. The Rangers beat the three-time defending 5A Division 1 state champs (Highland Park) twice this year including a 33-27 overtime win in the third round. The Raiders are 56-0 against everyone not named Highland Park and 0-3 against the Scots since 2016.

Saturday, 1 p.m. at Sheldon ISD Panther Stadium (Harris County) - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

Guyer: QB Eli Stowers (6-4, 215), RB Kaedric Cobbs (5-10, 210), WR Seth Meador (5-10, 170), DB Deuce Harmon (5-9, 185), DL Grant Mahon (6-4, 270)

Westfield: QB Cardell Williams (6-1, 160), RB Kendal Taylor (5-9, 170), DL Nick Booker-Brown (6-1, 250), LB Dyllon Peavy (5-10, 210), WR Malachai Jones (6-0, 180)

Guyer entered the Top 25 for the first time this season and faces a huge test with a spot in the 6A Division 2 championship on the line. Westfield's only loss this year came by three points against No. 6 North Shore and the Mustangs have won 11 straight heading into Saturday's semifinal. The Wildcats lone defeat came against No. 20 Carroll (Southlake) and are two wins away from winning their first state title since 2013 when Jerrod Heard led them to the 4A Division 1 championship.

Friday, 8 p.m. at Cerritos College (Norwalk) - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

Sierra Canyon: ATH DJ Harvey (5-10, 165), QB Chayden Peery (6-1, 200), LB JD Hernandez (6-0, 235), RB JD Sumlin (5-11, 175), ATH Kamari Ramsey (5-11, 185)

Central: WR Jeremiah Hunter (6-2, 180), DL Ricky Correia (6-4, 360), WR Xavier Worthy (6-0, 160), QB Jameson Silva (6-1, 185), LB Jekob Jones (6-0, 215)

Sierra Canyon's basketball team is getting all the spotlight but the football squad has been one of the best teams in Southern California this year. The Trailblazers are in the state championship for the second straight season and hope for a different result in 2019 after losing to Liberty (Brentwood) last season. Central took care of Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills) in the Division 1-AA Northern California championship and are one win away from bringing home the state title back to Fresno.

Saturday, 4 p.m. at Cerritos College (Norwalk) - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

Corona del Mar: QB Ethan Garbers (6-2, 190), WR John Humphreys (6-5, 205), TE Mark Redman (6-6, 250), WR Bradley Schlom (6-0, 180), DB Chandler Fincher (5-11, 175)

Serra: ATH Terence Loville (6-0, 170), ATH Jackson Lataimua (5-11, 195), DL Nusi Malani (6-6, 250), QB Dominique Lampkin (5-11, 170), ATH Nate Sanchez (5-10, 185)

The CIF Division 1-A championship is up for grabs before St. John Bosco and De La Salle lock horns in the night cap on Saturday. 2020 Washington commit Garbers has put up video-game numbers for the Sea Kings and is one win away from leading them to the first state title since 2013. Serra is one scrappiest teams in the state and has found a way to win despite losing its starting quarterback (Daylin McLemore) in late October. They knocked off a very talented San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno) squad in the Division 1-A Northern California championship.

Saturday, 3 p.m. at North Carolina - Watch Live on NFHS Network

Top Players

Vance: LB Power Echols (6-1, 205), DL Stephen Sings (6-3, 225), LB Stefon Thompson (6-0, 220), QB Austin Grier (5-11, 200), DB Marqui Lowery Jr. (5-11, 150)

Leesville: OL Mitchell Mayes (6-3.5, 305), ATH David Sohn (5-10.5, 185), OL Andrew Canelas (6-8, 300), LB BJ Adamchik (5-10, 205), ATH Noah Burnette (5-11, 165)

Both teams have knocked off some North Carolina powers on the way to the 4AA state championship. Vance beat Mallard Creek (Charlotte) in the second round and handed Richmond (Rockingham) its first loss of the season in the semifinals. Leesville Road took down the three-time defending state champs Wake Forest in the other semifinal.
