Baker County has gone a perfect 3-0 against Hilliard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Baker County Wildcats will challenge the Hilliard Red Flashes at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Baker County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Keystone Heights, falling 14-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost six in a row.

Baker County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blane Chauncey, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Hilliard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to Sandalwood. That's two games in a row now that the Red Flashes have lost by exactly ten runs.

Baker County now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Hilliard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Baker County took their victory against Hilliard when the teams last played last Wednesday by a conclusive 11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baker County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
