Football Recap: Beloit Memorial Takes a Loss

Beloit Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 26-21 heartbreaker at the hands of the Burlington Demons. The Purple Knights lost against the Demons in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 27-0 score last time.

Beloit Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Burlington, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Beloit Memorial will square off against Wilmot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Purple Knights will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Burlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Badger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Demons will need to watch out since the Badgers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
