Softball Recap: Ellsworth Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Ellsworth challenged Prescott on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Cardinals, falling 19-7. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Ellsworth saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aliza Acker, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Karli Gutting was another, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Ellsworth's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Prescott, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-7.

Coming up, Ellsworth is taking a road trip to face off against Fall Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prescott, they will be playing at home against Hastings at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
