Baseball Recap: De La Salle Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for De La Salle's offense. They fell just short of the DePaul College Prep Rams by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Meteors' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

De La Salle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Navarro, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

De La Salle's record is now 6-8. As for DePaul College Prep, their record now sits at 15-2.

Coming up, De La Salle will head out on the road to challenge Antioch at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Meteors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sequoits have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for DePaul College Prep, they will welcome Chicago Hope Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Chicago Hope Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so DePaul College Prep's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
