Basketball Game Preview: Compton Tarbabes vs. Marina Vikings

The Compton Tarbabes will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against the Marina Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Compton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Marina likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Compton came up short against Cabrillo and fell 72-63. The Tarbabes haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Marina also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Gulf Shores by a score of 54-45. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 717th in California, while the Dolphins are ranked 114th in Alabama).

Compton's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Marina, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
