Soccer Game Preview: Stevenson vs. Salinas

The Stevenson Pirates will face off against the Salinas Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Stevenson is headed into Wednesday's following a draw, the team's first since December 11. They and Pajaro Valley finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Monday.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Salinas was not quite Watsonville's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Wildcatz by a score of 2-1.

Salinas' goal came courtesy of Emilio Padilla, who's now up to five this season.

Stevenson's draw makes their record 3-5-2 this season. As for Salinas, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-3-4.
