Softball Game Preview: Cumby Trojans vs. Como-Pickton Eagles

Cumby hasn't had much luck against Como-Pickton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cumby Trojans will head out to face off against the Como-Pickton Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Cumby has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Cumby is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 16-4 to Como-Pickton.

Ella Horne was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Four bases. while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinslee Dowdle, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Como-Pickton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. Cumby's loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
