Baseball Recap: Cherokee County Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Cherokee County was the 6-3 winner over Cleburne County when they last played one another back in June of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Cherokee County Warriors fell 7-4 to the Cleburne County Tigers on Tuesday. Aiden Bobbitt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Luke Young was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cherokee County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cleburne County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

While Cherokee County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
