Volleyball Recap: Williston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Williston extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 2-3. They lost 3-0 to the Union County Fightin' Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Estella Fugate and Kai Gowland, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Kailey Davis and her five assists. Finally, Gowland was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

As for Union County, they now have a winning record of 3-2. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Bayley Staier was the offensive standout of the match as she had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Williston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Nature Coast Tech on the 26th. As for Union County, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Baker County on the 26th.
