Basketball Recap: International Comes Up Short

International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Varnado Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Wednesday.

International's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Varnado, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

International will face off against Fisher at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. International has insisted on making their lastfive contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-5 during that stretch of close contests. As for Varnado, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pearl River at 7:20 p.m. on January 28th.
