            Baseball Recap: Germantown Red Devils vs. Harding Academy Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Germantown made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Harding Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Germantown Red Devils blew past the Harding Academy Lions 14-3 on Friday. The  win was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 Jeremy Parker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Parker was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cameron Leaks, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Marquis McPherson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Germantown  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .714. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harding Academy only posted  an  OBP of  .417.

Germantown's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Harding Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Coming up, Germantown will challenge Olive Branch at 10:00  a.m.  on Monday. Harding Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Benedict at Auburndale at 4:30  p.m.  on March 20th.
