Soccer Recap: Maranatha Find Success

Maranatha won the last time they faced St. Paul and things went their way on Saturday too. The Minutemen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Swordsmen. That's two games straight that Maranatha have won by just one goal.

Anthony Ter-Matevosyan and Luca Youssefian scored both of Maranatha's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Maranatha now has a winning record of 4-3-3. As for St. Paul, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3-2 record this season.

Maranatha has already played their next match, a 4-0 loss against Peninsula on the 13th. As for St. Paul, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Arlington at 2:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
