Rosemead came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the South El Monte Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in September, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

While Rosemead won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-22.

Ava Veljacic paced Rosemead's offense, picking up 18 kills. Veljacic got some help from Giselle Han and her 24 assists. Perla Baca and Gisele Duong kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with eight aces apiece.

Rosemead's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for South El Monte, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

Rosemead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against San Gabriel on the 6th. As for South El Monte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Marshall on the 8th.
