While Bedford's victory against Bishop Guertin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Cardinals on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Carter Crowley was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Jack Hinton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

With the victory, Bedford broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3. As for Bishop Guertin, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Bedford will square off against Alvirne at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Bishop Guertin, they will challenge Nashua North at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
