Basketball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Langtree Charter Academy played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Lincoln Charter Eagles, falling 75-26. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Leading Lincoln Charter to victory were Taylor Riggenbach and Martha Guinle. Riggenbach posted 15 points along with seven assists and seven steals, while Guinle went 7 of 15 on her way to 19 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Riggenbach a new career-high in assists. Claire David was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 11 points.

Langtree Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Lincoln Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
