Baseball Recap: Pine Ridge Takes a Loss

Mount Dora Christian Academy hit Pine Ridge with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 13-3 to the Bulldogs.

Nathan Murrah made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pine Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Pine Ridge will welcome DeLand at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Apopka at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
