Volleyball Game Preview: Warde Mustangs vs. Darien Blue Wave

Warde hasn't had much luck against Darien recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will challenge the Blue Wave at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Warde is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Ludlowe, who was ranked eighth at the time (Warde was ranked third). The Mustangs fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

Warde wouldn't go down easily and took Ludlowe into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 21-25, 25-13, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Darien lost 3-0 to Greenwich on Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-16, 25-11.

Darien's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Warde, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
