Baseball Recap: Elkin Takes a Loss

Elkin lost against West Wilkes back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Elkin lost 12-1 to West Wilkes. The Buckin' Elks just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Elkin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Elkin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for West Wilkes, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkin will welcome Avery County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Wilkes, they will host North Surry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
