Baseball Game Preview: Newton South Lions vs. Malden Catholic Lancers

Newton South's last matchup with Weston could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Saturday. The Lions came up short against the Wildcats, falling 8-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since April 23rd.

Meanwhile, Malden Catholic lost 10-2 to Boston Latin Academy on Thursday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newton South's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Malden Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
