Basketball Game Preview: Agricultural Science Cyclones vs. Farragut Admirals

The Agricultural Science Cyclones will take on the Farragut Admirals in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Agricultural Science has four straight victories, Farragut has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Agricultural Science will head into Thursday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 40-point drubbing they dealt Englewood Stem on Thursday. Agricultural Science blew past Englewood Stem 75-35. Given the Cyclones' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Panthers are ranked 569th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Chris Cole, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten assists. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Tillis, who went 5 of 6 en route to 11 points along with six boards and four blocks.

Agricultural Science smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Farragut came up short against Chicago Marshall on Thursday and fell 52-40.

Farragut's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Agricultural Science, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
