After a string of three wins, Belton's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Grain Valley Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 3rd.

While Belton was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Grain Valley's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Belton's loss dropped their record down to 15-12-3. As for Grain Valley, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7-1.

Looking ahead, Belton will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Grain Valley, they will host Lee's Summit West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
