Football Recap: Quartz Hill Falls Short of Irvine in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Quartz Hill can now relate to. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 14-0 to the Irvine Vaqueros. The Royals were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the five matchups prior), but the Vaqueros' defense proved too tough.

Brody Larey threw for 65 yards on three of ten attempts. Tristan Holland was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards. On the ground, Kemir Smith rushed for 72 yards.

Quartz Hill's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Irvine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Quartz Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Irvine, they will venture away from home to take on Brea Olinda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Sina Saferzadeh and Gavyn Nicholson.
