Baseball Game Preview: Marlborough Panthers vs. Westborough Rangers

Marlborough's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Fitchburg with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Westborough is still winless after their game against Algonquin Regional on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Titans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rangers have suffered since May 3, 2024.

Westborough's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Marlborough, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
