If Oakwood was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kirby Prep on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Soledad Aztecs on Monday. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

While Oakwood ultimately came up short, they really made Soledad work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 22-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Oakwood's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Soledad, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
