Basketball Recap: New Diana Comes Up Short

If New Diana was riding high fresh off their 52-28 takedown of Non Varsity Tournament Opponent last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The New Diana Eagles lost 43-22 to the Lone Oak Buffaloes on Friday.

When it comes to explaining why New Diana lost, don't look at Jolie Ballard. Despite the final result, she posted seven points along with ten steals and seven boards. That's the most boards Ballard has posted since back in February.

New Diana's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Lone Oak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.

New Diana didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-22 defeat against Grand Saline on the 7th. As for Lone Oak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 32-27 loss against Harmony on the 7th.
