Softball Recap: Corner Comes Up Short

Corner and Hayden squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Corner had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. The Yellow Jackets' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Mckenzie Cotton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Adalyn Owens, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Corner's loss dropped their record down to 12-23-1. As for Hayden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 25 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 30-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Corner nor Hayden have any future games scheduled.
