Softball Recap: Erie-Prophetstown Panthers vs. Riverdale Rams        
        
		
            
 Erie-Prophetstown was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They fell just short of the Riverdale Rams by a score of  8-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Erie-Prophetstown of the  3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
  Alyssah Padia was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lilly Swatos, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 On Riverdale's side,  Claire Beeler was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.  Breckin DeLaRosa was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Erie-Prophetstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Riverdale, their victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-13.
 Erie-Prophetstown will take on Orion at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Orion is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4  runs per game  this season. As for Riverdale, they will head out on the road to  take on  Hall at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Riverdale is facing Hall at the right time seeing as Hall is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
