Middleton has gone 9-1 against Emmett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will take on the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. Middleton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.

Middleton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Bishop Kelly, who was ranked 15th at the time (Middleton was ranked third). The Vikings fell 6-1 to the Knights on Wednesday. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Emmett beat Caldwell 8-3 on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Middleton moved to 14-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Emmett, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Middleton came out on top in a nail-biter against Emmett when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
