Softball Recap: Johnson Creek Find Success

Johnson Creek won the last time they faced Deerfield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bluejays came out on top against the Demons by a score of 5-2.

Tori Buglass made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Madi Brigowatz was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Libby Burbach, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Johnson Creek's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Deerfield, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Johnson Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Demons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
