Football Recap: North Fremont Starts off Right with Win over South Fremont

North Fremont gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 40-6 victory over the South Fremont Cougars.

Andrew Martin had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. North Fremont also got a significant boost from Owen Reid, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 104 yards.

North Fremont's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Aaron Montano, Bryce Nedrow, and Cameron Shuldberg, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Looking ahead, North Fremont will venture away from home to square off against Bear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Fremont, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Marsh Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
