Powell never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Christian Academy of Knoxville on Saturday. They blew past the Warriors 12-4. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Powell is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Coming up, Powell will look to defend their home field on Monday against William Blount at 6:00 p.m. The Governors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Christian Academy of Knoxville has already played their next contest (against Mount Juliet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
