Union Grove extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were outmatched by the Stockbridge Tigers and fell 60-28. On the bright side, the 28- point effort marked the Wolverines' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Stockbridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Union Grove is ranked 320th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Joshua Scott had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 345 yards and seven touchdowns, while also rushing for 82 yards and one score on only six carries. Those 345 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Mason Freeman was Scott's top target, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Union Grove and Locust Grove will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Stockbridge, they will take on Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Tigers will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
