Basketball Game Preview: Denton Broncos vs. Ryan Raiders

The Denton Broncos will head out on the road to take on the Ryan Raiders at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Denton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season.

Denton took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They managed a 38-34 win over Argyle. The 38-point effort marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Denton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hudson Torres out in front who posted 11 points. Jacory Singh was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Ryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 50-36 to Argyle. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 413th, while the Eagles are ranked 190th).

Ryan's loss dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Denton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season.

Denton took their win against Ryan in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 79-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Denton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
