Baseball Recap: Nicholas County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bracken County on Wednesday, Nicholas County came back down to earth. The Bluejackets lost 15-5 to the Harrison County Thorobreds/Fillies on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bluejackets in their meetings with the Thorobreds/Fillies: they've now lost eight in a row.

Nicholas County's loss dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Harrison County, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 27-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nicholas County will welcome Pendleton County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Harrison County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scott at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Thorobreds/Fillies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
