Football Recap: Rowlett Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Rowlett won against Wylie last Friday with 17 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Eagles walked away with a 17-7 victory over the Lakeview Centennial Patriots. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' seventh straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Samuel Loera continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 76 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 159 yards on 14 of 27 attempts. 105 of Loera's passing yards were hauled in by Micah Pearson.

Rowlett's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for Lakeview Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Rowlett will be playing in front of their home fans against Wylie East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Lakeview Centennial, they will challenge Garland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
