Basketball Game Preview: Bullitt East Chargers vs. Somerset Briar Jumpers

The Bullitt East Chargers will head out to face off against the Somerset Briar Jumpers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bullitt East will be strutting in after a win while Somerset will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, Bullitt East strolled past Waggener with points to spare, taking the game 60-43. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Somerset might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Pulaski County an easy 59-37 win. While losing is never fun, the Briar Jumpers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Maroons are ranked 15th).

The victory got Bullitt East back to even at 4-4. As for Somerset, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
