The Mt. Zion Braves will face off against the Glenwood Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Glenwood will be up against a hot Mt. Zion squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Braves blew past Richland County 14-4 on Wednesday.

Ella Fink was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fink was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 matchups.
In other batting news, Ana Kanemaru and Molly Doolin did most of the damage at the plate: Kanemaru went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Doolin went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Doolin has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Ellie Green, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Glenwood came out on top against Quincy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fifth inning. The Titans were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Blue Devils. The victory was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on 19 straight.
Glenwood let Hope Gilmore and Ava Bobb run wild. Gilmore fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4, while Bobb fired off two home runs and three runs while going 2-for-3. Ryleigh Kiel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Glenwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .371 or higher in eight consecutive contests.
Glenwood pushed their record up to 28-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Mt. Zion, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.
Mt. Zion skirted past Glenwood 4-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
