Volleyball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

Stevenson and Carmel squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Stevenson had to settle for second. They came up short against the Padres, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Padres this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Stevenson was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Carmel's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-17.

Stevenson has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Carmel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-10.

Stevenson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carmel, they will take on Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
