Game recap: Nemaha Valley High School Football Team wins against Sabetha

SENECA, Kan. - Nemaha Valley (Seneca, Kan.) saw its 14-point lead dwindle to seven, but still managed to hang on and beat Sabetha (Kan.) 28-21 on Saturday.

The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at 14. The Raiders took the lead indefinitely on a Dalton Hiltibrand touchdown pass to Cody Rottinghaus in the third quarter.

Nemaha Valley's standout player in the win was Rottinghaus. The junior wide receiver threw one touchdown and caught one touchdown.

A 13-9 Nemaha Valley victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The defeat comes as a step back for Sabetha, who notched a 27-8 victory over Santa Fe Trail in its previous outing. With the win the Seneca school extended its winning streak to three games. The loss ended Sabetha's two-game winning streak.
