Basketball Recap: Park School Bruins vs. Key Obezags
Park School's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 win over the Key Obezags. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their 30-point performance the match before.
Despite the loss, Key saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anjo Yette went 9 of 20 on his way to 21 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Yette is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Dent, who went 5 of 6 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds.
Park School's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Key, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Sts. Peter & Paul the next time they take the court. Key will head out to face Sts. Peter & Paul at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Park School will host them at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
