It was fun while it lasted, but Valley's undefeated season came to an end after ten games on Friday. They fell just short of the Eufaula Tigers by a score of 3-1. The loss put an end to the Rams' undefeated start to the season.

Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew McDonald, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Having lost for the first time this season, Valley fell to 10-1. As for Eufaula, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.

Coming up, Valley will venture away from home to face off against Headland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Headland has won three straight at home, while Valley won ten straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change. As for Eufaula, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Eufaula Tigers face off against Beulah Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
