Basketball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Pine View Panthers

The Dixie Flyers are taking a road trip to challenge the Pine View Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dixie will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Dixie is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Desert Hills, who was ranked 12th at the time (Dixie was ranked tenth). The Flyers had just enough and edged out the Thunder 65-62. That's two games straight that the Flyers have won by exactly three points.

Pine View hadn't beaten Cedar on the road since March 1, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Panthers enjoyed a cozy 54-40 win over the Reds.

Dixie's record is now 14-0. As for Pine View, their record now sits at 12-4.

Things could have been worse for Dixie, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-35 loss to Pine View in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. Can the Flyers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
