Marion's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Hillsboro, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
Marion was dealt a bruising 69-32 loss at the hands of Hillsboro in their previous meeting back in December of 2021. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Marion was down 42-12.
